Italy is home to some of the world’s greatest attractions that are absolutely worth visiting. It has some of the greatest basilicas, most notably St. Peter’s Basilica, which is probably the most well-known and prominent church in the entire Roman Catholic Church. One of the titles of Rome is the Eternal City, going back to its heritage as the capital of the Roman Empire that spanned through most of Europe, Britain, Northern Africa, and Western Asia, and many ancient Roman ruins and relics are still there in Rome for anyone to see. Probably one of the most commonly recognized monuments that represents ancient Rome is the Colosseum, a large part of it still intact in Rome.
